Metallugy & Identification

Testing of Industrial Metals

Our  laboratory can examine and tests for problems you are experiencing or question.  AIS physical laboratory and metallography laboratory is well equipped.

AIS Metallurgical Testing physical lab has mechanical testing equipment with chemistry.   Here are helpful suggestions for you to decide and see if we are right for you:

Need testing & analysis done on metal

x

Require Identification of your plate or pipe

x

 Having Corrosion Problems

v

 Metal is cracking without reason

Need a metallurgical perspective of your failure

Your metal is not behaving as expected

If you answered yes to any of these, then AIS Metallurgical Testing can help you.  Call us at 800.249.0959

Let us begin to solve your problem today.

Metallurgical Testing - Metals like other physical materials is made  of cells or grains, which can be called metal crystals.  How the metallic structure is formed is determined by chemistry and heating and cooling rates when the metal is formed.  Welding is very-very similar. Identification of metals cannot be done by chemistry alone because physical properties like tensile strength and yield strength and ductility are derived by the both the metals chemistry and atomic structure.
